Decent Stay with Room for Improvement
While the twin room met our basic needs, we found the early check-in process a bit frustrating. Keep in mind, the taxi fare from the bus station can be much cheaper than what the hotel suggested. Communication with staff proved inconsistent, though some were friendly.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Casona Plaza Hotel Arequipa. The breakfast was a delightful blend of Peruvian and European dishes, offering plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. My twin room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and complemented by very friendly staff who ensured my comfort.

Casona Plaza Hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of Arequipa. The breakfast really stood out. it combined delicious Peruvian and European flavors that I thoroughly enjoyed each morning. The twin room I stayed in was clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere. However, there were some downsides. The room became quite hot since there was no air conditioning, and the thin windows allowed some noise from the yard to seep in. The beds felt small for two, making it a bit cramped during the nights. Additionally, the staff members I interacted with before my arrival seemed a bit pushy about upselling, which left a negative impression. It felt more like a cash grab than helpful assistance.

The location of Casona Plaza Hotel is fantastic, situated right in the heart of Arequipa, which made it easy to explore the city's attractions.
Unfortunately, the room I stayed in felt quite hot due to the lack of air conditioning and the thin windows, which allowed noise from outside to disturb my rest.

well-located, modern bathrooms, great shower
Very hot rooms with poorly insulated windows!!! Limited soundproofing allowed car alarms to break the peace!!! Also, don't fall for the early check-in fees. cheaper taxis are easily found nearby!!!

Good choice for budget travelers
The room was very comfortable, real nice and warm at night , and I even got a room with no city view which was super quiet during the night. Had this breakfast packed with cereals , fruit , and pastries that filled me up before exploring.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what you get, it’s acceptable.

Just a top selection for strolling around in Arequipa with very good value for money. The breakfast had a great selection of fresh fruit and pastries that kept me energized for the day. Be prepared to negotiate taxi prices if you're heading out.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, as we enjoyed the large space to relax after exploring the nearby attractions and appreciated the quiet bathroom with plenty of toiletries.
Everything was ideal.
